Kristina Pedersen, BA, MA, IBCLC
International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant
With over a decade of experience supporting families worldwide, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and genuine passion for helping families succeed in their breastfeeding goals.
My Journey
My path to becoming a lactation consultant began with my academic foundation in health promotion and international development. After earning my Master's degree with Distinctions from the University of London, I discovered my calling in maternal and child health through my work with UNICEF and the World Health Organization.
In 2011, I founded Mamá Canguro, Paraguay's first private lactation consulting practice, where I served thousands of families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. This experience taught me that every family's journey is unique, and personalized support makes all the difference.
Since relocating to New York in 2022, I've continued my mission closer to home, working with families across Long Island and the NYC metropolitan area while maintaining my commitment to accessible, culturally sensitive care.
